2005 Whistler Workshop on Planetary Science
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The workshop in intended primarily to train planetary scientists,
and we encourage supervisors to send their students with that
goal.
However, if you are no longer a student (you have a doctoral degree)
and you wish to attend, we may have space for your participation!
Professionals may participate in the workshop week in order to
fill gaps in their knowledge, and hopefully contribute perspective
from their specialization.
Application procedure

which should be filled in and mailed, along with a personal
cheque for the registration fees (sorry, no other form
of payment will be accepted) to the address on the form.
Applications will be initially reviewed March 1st 2005.
Should the school not fill with students, professionals
up to the space limit (55) will be admitted.
Professional participants will likely to be asked to
give a short presentation (15 minutes) in an evening
time slot describing one line of their research lines in
planetary science or related topic.
Financial responsibilities
Professional participants should expect to cover the following expenses:
Registration fee : $400
Transport to Vancouver : Variable. Discount airfares on West Jet
One night hotel in Vancouver : about $120 (assuming single occupancy)
Six nights in Whister Coast : $630 (assuming single occupancy)
Dinners in Whistler : Variable. Expect $15-35/night for six nights
If you wish us to attempt to find a room-mate with whom to share
accomodation, please indicate so on the registration form.
